Can I see thumbnails of my Fuji S2 raw files in Archive Creator?

Yes. We support the use of S2 RAW files.

We allow you to look at any one image by clicking on the filename in the file selection tree and you see a preview of the image in the preview window.

And then when you have created your archive set, on each CD is are "Web Style" thumbnail pages. You can click on a thumbnail and go to an Viewing image that we have created.

All from the RAW S2 RAF file.

Check the help file on the web site or in the program for examples. While we do not show RAF files, the thumbs page will look the same.

I am now making an example page created from all different RAW format files including S2.

I hope that this has been helpful..

Michael, am I understanding correctly then that the the HTML indices should include viewable thumbnails of the .raf files? If so, it did not work when I tried it last night with the evaluation version. I did not actually burn a CD but I processed the files and then clicked the button to view the HTML index. I had both raw and jpg versions of the same files in the set. The index had thumbnails for the jpegs but only showed icons for the .raf files.

BTW, I like what I've seen of the program so far and think I will register once I'am satisfied with the RAF support.

Robert,

Yes this should work as you expect not as it did. I did the same test this morning using 5 RAF files and it worked fine. So I think that the variable may be the files. Can you email one of the files that did not work. Or post it to where I can downlaod it.

I am not a Fuji RAW expert. The files that I used were from the S2 ( I was told). Are there others than might be different?

Thanks for your help..

Michael, just to confirm the problem, I tried the exercise again this evening, processing about 65 files in both raw and jpg versions. Again when I previewed the index, the raw files were represented only by the Fuji icon. Clicking on the raw file icon in the index did not bring up the image viewer either. Clicking on a jpg brought up the image viewer but the viewer only showed the jpg files, it ignored the raw files. The raw files were from a Fuji S2.

My ISP won't accept a large enough email for me to send one of the files to you. The files are almost 13 megs each. Tomorrow I'll see if I can upload one to pbase.com where you can get to it. Thanks.

Robert

Robert,

yes, I understand exactly what you are seeing and saying. I look forward to getting one of your files and getting to the bottom of this.

Thanks for your help..

Michael, I've been unable to find a way to get the file to you via the internet. If you'll send me a snail mail address I'll be happy to burn a CD with some raw files and send it to you. Thanks.

Robert
