Greetings:
On managed systems, it isn't a good idea to create the archive index files where the software is installed. It also is not appreciated if the temporary files used during CD burning are placed on the system partition (tends to fragment the disk for one thing).
I would like to request that the specifications for these locations be added to the preferences menu.
I wished for this ability just today. When I tried to burn an Archive Set, I was told that my system disk didn't have enough space on it for burning. The message was right, but I don't understand why it was trying to use space on my system disk for the purpose. At the very least I would have preferred it to have used the location where I have my software installed (on a different partition).
So I am requesting that, like Photoshop and other applications using lots of disk and memory, we be given the option of specifying where the files needed during Archive Creator's operations end up.
Thanks for listening and creating a great product!
Cheers.
