Write error 1000

When trying to write I get write error 1000. I tried uninstalling Direct Cd and still get the error. It asks me to try another CD but I get the same error.

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but in general this error is indicative of a chipset firmware or driver that needs to be upgraded. There are spcific chipsets that require this in order to write to the CD at the low level that we do. Let me do some further research into this.

What would be helpful wold be to do the following.

Go to the about box and double click on the logo.

This will add some debug menus in the options menu.

Set the BurnLog option to on and try the write again. And then send us the log file that you will find inthe AC folder.

Also, please tell us your OS and SP level.

If you are still having the error 1000, we may have a fix for you. If interested I can sen you a test version and have you run some tests to see if the new fix will correct your problem.

Anyone else with this problem please post or send you email address and we can send you a test application to see if our possible fix corrects your problem.

If all goes well we will issue a new version next week.

Peter, I still have the problem. You can either send the fix or I can wait a week for the new version if you think that will fix it also.
