First off, let me say that you folks have come up with a great solution to very real problem. I have had all kinds of scraps of paper on my desk with directory names so that I could remember which folders of a particular shooting session I fit on one CD and which I needed to start with on the next CD. Plus, I really like the index/thumbnail capability. While there are other products which can create this type of index (some even free), it saves me the necessity of having to use multiple products to create the CD. You've got a winner here!
Having said that, here are a few suggestions from my initial use (and perhaps the capabilities already exist and I just missed them).
- Would be nice to have a link to this website and/or the forum somewhere in the application interface. I was actually expecting one under the "Help" menu.
- Would be nice to have the ability, after processing and before burning, to go back and change the volume label. I made a keystroke mistake and after making the changing, I had to go back and reprocess the entire batch (which took awhile with 1000+ files).
- Would be nice to have the ability to add additional (already existing on the harddrive) levels in the arcive directory structure. For instance, my files are all stored under main folders for each year (2001, 2002, etc.). I then use individual folders for each day's shoot or event. So, I archived the 111402 Sedona folder, which in turn consists of several subfolders. The process worked, but I really would like to be able to insert the 2002 folder at the top of the tree (without including all of the other files in that folder in the archive). If this capability already exists, I'd appreciate an explanation of how to make it happen.
