Michael-
great video series on the WhiBal. Good going. I have been looking for a product like this for a while for my African safaris. Thanks again.
When will the rivet accessory(ies) be available?

I promise today, but given my track record, I would not believe me if i were you (in this regard only.....my word is golden in other respects), but I plan to get it posted today.
It is almost done and will be posted this morning.
I sincerely apologize for the delay and false promises.

not a problem at all, Michael. Just checking, as I leave for Africa in a few weeks, and I would love to use my WhiBal on my photo vest.....

I'd like to get lanyard, blackpoint, and rivet upgrades for my vintage 2004 pocket Whibal set, which has proved its value by now. If I just order what's there on the site, will that include the rivet coupler, too?
thanks,

The rivet accessories are completely optional. They do not come with the current WhiBal. They can be ordered as accessories when they are posted tomorrow on the site (Thur.) :>))

Michael-
since the rivet system isn't online yet, and I leave for Africa in less in 2 weeks, is there any way I can just purchase one from you?

Should be on-line tonight. Sorry for the delays.

So it's 40 dollars for the rivet?
I have already bought 2 pocket and 1 studio WhiBals from you, and this is just too much.
Or is there a better price for people that have already been good customers?

John,
I know that it is expensive but it is all high quality stuff. It is not as if i do not have to pay for it.
The kit is $45, and combined with a WhiBal it is $40. So I can sell it to you for $40 since you already have the WhiBal. or you can buy just the pieces that you want and that will lower the price. There is a lot of work involved for RW.com in handlin and re-packaging, I have priced it lower than Rivet themselves. They have pre-packed kits available at their site and at radio Shack, but i did not see a pack that is roght for WhiBal.
Financially, I should not carry it because of the time involved, but it is so good for WhiBal that is why I am doing it. I do not expect to sell that many so it is somewhat of a PITA for RW but like I said it is VERy good for use with WhiBal so we am offering it. We cannot take a loss. I have to make a profit to cover our time and handling and cost of money or I am taking valuable time away from other things that we could be doing.
I tried to price it fairly. You will have toi decide if it is worth it to you. Sorry that you are dissapointed.

Michael-
I think what needs to be said here is that the rivet system does more than just work with WhiBal. I am looking at it from a standpoint of my PDA, cell phone, WhiBal, and a few others. Rivet makes a great product, and thanks for carrying it over here, Michael.

I made my last post before the pictures of the Rivet were online and thought it was 40 dollars just for the WhiBal Rivet.
I have since ordered the Rivet parts for 2 WhiBals, so I hope you got my order ok.
I do appreciate your good service and prompt replies.
Cheers,
John

Just wanted to add my tuppence - that the eRivet product is a very high quality, precision machined product and that if you price shop you'll find that Michael is competively priced compared to even someone as big as Radio Shack.
Considering that you can't buy a kit with the parts that you'll need for WhiBal anywhere else it's a bargain compared to buying more than you need just to get the same pieces for WhiBal.
