Perhaps this feature exists and I haven't found it in version 1.1 ... I'd like the ability to save archive settings to a specified file along with the corresponding ability to load specified archive settings. The idea would be to allow one to quickly restore all the settings associated with a particular archive session.
The archive settings appear to be stored in a file called "_ArchiveSettings.xml" and while I know I could maintain a repository of archive settings files manually, it would be far more convenient to have a menu option to save/restore (much like can be done with selection lists.
A point to consider if this feature is implemented is that the "SelectionList" variable in the "_ArchiveSettings.xml" file appears to point to the "_FileSelectionList.xml" file in the main Archive Creator directory regardless of the file selection list that was loaded via the "Load/Save File Selection List..." menu option. In order for a save/restore archive settings feature to work properly, it would seem appropriate to store the actual file list name in this variable.
Additionally, I would find it desirable to specify the folder in which the selection lists and archive settings files reside. (ie, the ability to place them somewhere besides the Archive Creator directory.) Where possible, I like to keep 'volitile' information in a separate partition from the partition where I install applications. Not a big deal, but it would be nice.
