View Full Version : Cleaner archiving option possible?

I see that this program was made with archiving images in mind first so it creates some index files on CDs. I don't need that index files as I am just archiving my HD content on CDs.

When I archive with indexing disabled I still get some ACSys directory and read_me.html file added to the CD. Also the archive is stored in Source_C directory. I don't need/want that.

Now a suggestion:

Can you add a simple check box in the Setup or Options where you could select a cleaner archiving without any indexing where nothing but ONLY selected files would be copied straight to the root directory of CDs?

If that could be done (I believe it's easy to do, right?) I'd purchase the program.

Thanks for your comments.

The Source_C folder is something that we plan to be able to eliminate in the future, if the Archive comes from 1 drive. It is there to resolve name conflcits when files come from multiple drives.

And the ACSys folder and read_me can certianly be eliminated in the future as well under these conditions.

Yes..it is easy, but our feature list is already long so I cannot promise a timeframe. Our top priority is DVD support which we are working on now and hope to have a beta version this month..

Thanks again for your feedback..

I have the same concerns. Leaving this read_me.html file on the CD causes my photo lab problems. Removing it woudl really simplify my life.

You can set the root directory as you please. I will have to look into the read me file issue.

Yes you can set the root folder, use the "Manual Selection" opton in the prefernces for this.

Also, on the archive page there is a check box for "Burn Data Only" This will only burn the data files, no AC files at all.
