An idea about the Whibal...

I was wondering if anyone has given though to designing the shape of the whibal cards so that one of them (pick one) has a slightly non-standard shape extension on it so the lanyard loop mount sticks out a bit more from the others, allowing you to collapse it down further without binding with the other cards?

I'm wondering about wearing out the string gradually over time, or being forced to leave it fanned out a bit instead.
