When I start AC 1.1.1 an error message appears twice: Access is denied. What can be the reason ?
Besides this everything seems to work well.

Sorry for the problem..

Just to be clear...after you "OK" the error boxes, all works well.

My thought is that you have "Skip Networked Drives" unchecked (so it looks for network drives), and you do not have access to 2 of them that it finds. Please check "Skip Netwrok drives" in the preferences and see if this confirms my thought.

Thanks..

After o.k. 2 x everything is working well. Checked already but skip network drives and removable drives is checked.

Walter, please delete the .XML files in the AC folder (you will have to reset your preferences after this), and let me know if this changes the situation.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Michael,

Thanks for your quick replies. Deleted the .xml files, uninstalled the AC program, deleted the folder completely and installed AC again. Disabled all but necessary processes in windows XP. Unfortunately no change. I guess that it has to do something with my C drive at startup. Some files that are being accessed might be read only. Do you have any idea.

Regards,
Walter.

I do not think that the Read-Only is the issue, but there are some files that we had identified as "system" files that did not like being touched. We have filtered for them, but maybe there are some others.

If your file selection list is empty (as it would be on a new install or after deleting the XML files) there is still an error this is strange, because we are only addressing the drive not any files.

Maybe we will see this error here at some point an be able to find the cause. We will put this on file and see if we can research it a bit. For now it seems benign. Sorry for the inconveniece. Let use know if the new V2.0 does the same thing (I suspexct that it will) when it is released this coming week.

Thanks for your help and understanding..

Michael,

Maybe this might help. When I press the "clear tree" button in the program, whith or without files selected, I get the same message. Looking forward to receive V 2.0.

Regards,
Walter.

It is all helpful information, but still does not point us to the problem. I can send you the V2.0 Alpha if you like, but I do not think that we have changed anything that would help this situation, although sine the burning library is totally revamped, there could be a change. Let me know if you want to try the V2.0 version now. You can write to me at

ACAlpha@pictureflow.com

and mention our dicsussion and your problem.

Thanks..
