I downloaded AC a few days ago and have tried archiving my photos. I have tried several different size archives from 1 CD to 17 with very large indexes. The programs goes through the process fine and occasionally will reprocess changing the size of the index. Finally after considerable time the process is complete but the burn icon never flahes and the system hangs up. I have done this repeatedly and am stumped. Any suggestions?

Sorry that you are having this problem. Just as a quick test, try selecting just a few files and see if the processing completes and the Burn Button becomes active.
At the end of the process with a large index (or a previous index that was large) there is a lot of file copying or deletion that has to take place and this timing varies from system to system and could take a few minutes on some systems, and also depending on the space available on your drives and the state of the recycle bin.
A very fast test would be to delete the TempIndex folder manually, and then create a small archive set and see if the processing completes and the burn button becomes active.
Also..How large is the index and how may files are processed when you say that it is large. Just trying to get a sense of the size of what you are doing.
Thanks..

I have tried archiving numerous times over the weekend with various success. On a couple of occasions I got through the process including burning successfully. But most often it would hang up. And it not seem to matter how large the archive was although I tried to stay within 1 disk. In one case the archive was about 450 megs with a large index with a few thousand files. And it worked. However, most often the system hung up. The message was that the process was completed successfully but then a freeze. In trying to unfreeze Ithe screen would sort of mis-shapen and I would receive a message box indicating error message 7 out of memory.

Sorry for the problems. Still is a mystery given the data that you sent. Should you get the error message agin, please see if you can take a screen shot showing the entirte AC application.
When you say that a freeze occurs, is thisof AC only, or your whole system. When you tried to "unfreeze", whxt method did you use?? What did you do?
When you say that most often it would hang up, can I assume that you mean in the processing screen?
I think that th most useful thing to do would be to run our debugging logger, called the Program logger. It is described in the second thread here. Please run with this turned on, and if a freeze occurs, save the log file and send it to me (ACSupport@pictureflow.com).
