I just burned a fully loaded 3 DVD-R set without a hitch.
However, I noticed that it took considerably longer to get the program loaded (during the gray rectangle splash screen).... I clocked it at 75 seconds - like an eternity! I thought the previous versions loaded a lot faster.

I just tested Beta 1 vs beta 2 and got the same results. 14 seconds for a tree with a lot of files checked.
Can you give me more details.
Do you have "Skip Network Drives" checked? If the system is searching the network, or for a removable drive, it could take longer. Try with only local drives enabled.
Also, if a CD or DVD is mounted in a drive it could take longer on some cases.
If you still have the problem, please send me the .XML files (zipped) from the AC folder.

Thanks for your help.

I had all the "skip looking somewhere else" boxes checked. I thought it might have had something to do with the fact that I had a 3 DVD queue setup in the AC, but that proved to be wrong.
I have since tried to reproduce the problem, but it now opens routinely in around 17 seconds.
It is possible that Norton Antivirus was still actively scanning my system (every Friday night starting at midnight), and sometimes it runs into Saturday morning (890GB in 2 internal plus 4 firewire drives). Anyway, the problem is gone. I'll make a point of checking it again early next Saturday morning ;-)
