Any real concerns, any concrete problems, any reason you made your post unintelligible?

Less polemic: What do you want, how can we help?

Any reason lightroom bogs down when I am putting keywords in a folder of less than 5000 images? Approx 22 meg scans

LR is not the fastest out there <g> and 5000 22MB files is not a joy for it to handle. So yes it will bog down. If you are not already you should allow LR to build the preview images before attempting anywork. I would leave it overnight in your case. Select None (Control-D) and then select make standard previews.

Michael,

I wanted to post my experience regarding your instructions for making the previews. You say to "Select None (Control-D)", and I tried that [though on the Mac it's Command-D]. I wondered why it wasn't doing much, so I simply selected my entire Library, did a Select All, and then told it to Render Standard Previews. THAT did the job (and it's actually churning away, and probably will be for awhile on my 10,000 image Library.

Thought this might help others trying out your instructions for speeding up Lightroom. I know I saw reference to this elsewhere in the forums earlier, but couldn't find it right now. You might want to note this in a sticky somewhere sometime??

Thanks for the great work here. I'll be perusing and posting more as time goes on, I'm sure...

Later,
John
