View Full Version : Stuck "Finalizing Layout"

I got two error messages (on the two jpgs in one folder) saying "Image processing error" (I answered the popup by saying I wanted to continue) and the "Process" step completed. The two images were shown as "file1" icons instead of the real images (in the index when I viewed it). No big deal. I opened and resaved those two files using another tool and this went away.

But I can't get past the "Finalizing Layout.." status message. The folder icons flashed like they were being reprocessed, but AC is stuck with the "Burn" and "View HTML Index" icons grayed out.

I wiped out the temporary folder ACSsys and was able to rebuild the index. The two files did not show up as having problems anymore, but they still create the "file1" icon instead of the real image thumbnails (like all the other folders do). If I re-run "Process", then it stops at "Finalizing Layout" again.

This was not a problem with the first archive I did (this is number two). There are just 4 folders this time - less than the last time.

i've just downloaded and install V1.1.1 and the problem is still there.

Any ideas? A search of the forum didn't turn up this status message so I guess no one else has seen this.

thanks,

Don

Don,

Sorry to hear o the problem.

While it will probably not change things, please download the latest V2.0 version from the FAQ page. At least we will be trouble shooting the latest version which will shortly become the official version.

Please run the process after first turning on the Program debugger as detailed in the Troubleshooting hints here....

Then email the log file to me at ACSupport@pictureflow.com.

The other option is to start with one folder and few files to see if the process continues. It could just me 1 file that is blocking the process, so a process of elimination would be appropriate.

Thanks for your help.
