View Full Version : Missing Thumbnails/Catalogue

I have just archived 100 slides onto 5 CDs. The whole process of burning the CDs seems to have gone well but when I insert the completed CDs into the CD drive, I only get an indication from Archive Creator on which CD was insetrted (ie. the CD icon for the particular disk turns gold in colour). There are no thumbnails or catalogue.

I have checked to see if if the images and other files/folders were copied to the CD and I can conform that they are all there.

I would be grateful for your suggestions.

Sorry, when I say no catalogue, I mean that the HTML environment opens up okay but there are no thumbnails on display within it. It is empty.

Eric,

Is there a list of folder?

The main HTML page should show a list of folder, and then when you click on the folder you should see the thumbs for that folder.

This assumes that the Thumbs option was turned on, and that the file types are handled by AC (most are except for LZW compressed files).

If you can give me some additional info we can hopefully track things down.

Thanks for replying. I get an HTML page with the above but when I click on the folder or line Source_D or ELawrie_X nothing happens. The HTML file index is ticked for indexing on all disks and thumbnails ticked to include in archive.

And still no thumbnails or catalogue....

Assuming that you have not processed another Archive Set, open AC, and select the Burn Page, and Hit the View HTML Index button. Does this give you the Thumbnail index?

If not can you please send me the .XML files from the AC folder, and also the Index.html file in the root of one of the CDs. Please zip them up and send them to

ACSupport@pictureflow.com

Thanks..

Michael,

Okay, I've just seen what I have done wrong!!!

1. HTML File Index - ticked
2. Thumbnails Include in Archive - ticked
3. Index File Filter - ticked (but dot on Exclude rather than Include)

I am not sure what the Index File Filter does (and would appreciate an explanation) but phew......

Congratulations on a really nifty piece of software. Really marvellous!!!

Glad you found it!

The index filter allows you to exclude or include files in the HTML Index but still allow the files to be in the actual archive.

There is a seperate filter, that filters files in and out of the Archive (and Index as well).

Good work, and sorry for any confusion..
