View Full Version : Access violation on shutdown

If I shutdown AC without doing anything, then 9 times out of ten I get a window which flashes by complaining about an access violation. It seems that if I perform any operation in AC (such as calculating the disc size), then AC shuts down without the error.

The window has an OK button on it, but it doesn't wait for user input and just disappears. I've tried the program debugger, but nothing shows up - I'm gessing the error occurs after the debugger has shutdown. The error must occur during termination, but doesn't stop the exit. When the program exits, the windows disappears.

Sorry, I can provide more info, but the window is only up for less than a second.

Mike,

This is not being reported by others, so it must be some kind of interaction within your system.

Does it happen when exiting both from the file menu and the X close button? We have had some errors reported when exiting from the File|Exit only, but the X exit seems to be OK (even though it call the same code).

Michael,

It only seems to happen when exiting via File->Exit. I haven't been able to get the pop-up whn exiting either by the X close button or by closing AC by selecting close from the application pop-up in the Taskbar.

This is just cosmetic from my point of view. It doesn't happen if I have done any real work in AC. It also hasn't prevented my from burning 7 DVD's with over 10,000 images.

It appears that version 2.0 has removed this glitch.
