The index that is produced for a 10444 image, 4 DVD archive does not contain the small icons for downloading the file or seeing the source directory. All the files are present in the source folders on the disks. I probably shouldn't have burned them, because the problem was present when I viewed the html before burning. Rebuilding the index, although faster, did not change the outcome. I don't think any of the file names contain any unusual characters, such as # which I understand can cause this problem. The files are tifs, Canon raw, .thm, jpgs, and txt files produced by earlier versions of YarcPlus. I hide the thm's and txt files. I am displaying the EXIF data, but different files have different versions of the EXIF data, and the variables I selected for display are the ones in the RAW files. Any ideas?

I assume that you are referring to the FILE and FOLDER buttons. These do not appear in the View HTML Index method in AC (by design) and when viewing the index from a DVD, they will only appear if the Index thumb that you are viewing has the file on THAT DVD.
In other words if you have DVD#3 in the dirve, and you are viewing the index for DVD#1 (from DVD#3) you will not see the FILE and FOLDER buttons, because the source files do not exist on that disc. If you insert DVD#1 and view that same part of the index, the buttons should appear. This is all by design. The buttons only appear if the currently mounted disc has the source file that you are currently viewing.
Please let me know if this is the case.

OK, that was it. It takes moving around in the archive a bit before all the icons show. When I click on a disk not in the drive, there are some blank spots for icons (I don't know what you call that place for a picture that doesn't show up), but these disappear after I click on a thumb, and then go back. There also was some funny business when I tried to load the index first from Avant Browser, which I am using as a front end to Internet Explorer. The file and folder icons don't appear on other disks in the set, even when they are in the drive, if the index is not on each one, correct? Anyhow, I now have a complete, accessible archive of all my 2002 photos. Simply great! Thanks Michael for helping me get up to speed.
